Economic Empowerment
BAMEDCA is equipping young people in Bamendankwe with modern agricultural skills, seed capital, and market linkages to build sustainable livelihoods. The program addresses youth unemployment by transforming agriculture from a subsistence activity into a viable economic opportunity.
Youth unemployment in Bamendankwe is high, with many young people leaving the community in search of opportunities elsewhere. Agriculture the community’s primary economic base is practiced using outdated methods that yield low returns, discouraging youth engagement.
Young men and women aged 18–35 in Bamendankwe, with priority given to school leavers and unemployed graduates.
