Environment & Climate Action
To address environmental degradation and protect vital water sources, BAMEDCA launched the u201cA Tree for the Futureu201d initiative to restore and conserve the natural environment of Bamendankwe. The project focuses on planting trees around water catchment areas to protect watersheds, preserve soil fertility for agriculture, and strengthen climate resilience.
The initiative aims to plant 5,000 trees around key water catchment areas as part of a broader target of 20,000 trees across Bamendankwe Village. The project contributes to improved water conservation, soil protection, biodiversity preservation, cleaner air, and the creation of green livelihood opportunities for local youth.
