BAMEDCA’s Community Health Outreach Program delivers regular health screenings, medical supplies, and health education sessions across all quarters of Bamendankwe. The program aims to bridge the healthcare access gap in the community through preventive care and health literacy.
Problem Statement
Many residents of Bamendankwe particularly the elderly and those in remote quarters have limited access to healthcare facilities. Preventable diseases go undetected due to lack of routine screenings, and health education remains inadequate in several quarters.
Objectives
- Conduct quarterly health screening camps across all 55 quarters
- Distribute essential medical supplies to vulnerable households
- Train community health volunteers in basic first aid and health education
- Increase awareness of preventable diseases including malaria, typhoid, and hypertension
Target Beneficiaries
Elderly residents, children under 5, pregnant women, and low-income households across all 55 quarters of Bamendankwe estimated 8,000+ direct beneficiaries.
